Urgent Plumbing Service During Business Hours
Burst pipe? Sewer backing up into your basement? Water pouring from a ceiling? When you have a plumbing emergency, Anne the Plumber prioritizes your call. We handle urgent plumbing issues during business hours — call us and we’ll get to you as fast as possible.
We’re honest about our availability: we’re not a 24/7 service. Our hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. But during those hours, emergency calls go to the front of the line.
Signs You Need Emergency Plumbing
- Burst or broken pipe actively leaking
- Sewer backup flooding your basement or first floor
- No water to the entire house
- Gas smell near a water heater or boiler (call the gas company first, then call us)
- Overflowing toilet that won’t stop
- Water heater leaking large amounts of water
- Frozen pipes that haven’t burst yet (act fast to prevent a break)
What to Expect
Step 1: Call us at (401) 430-0532. Describe the emergency and we’ll prioritize your call. We may walk you through immediate steps — like shutting off your main water valve — to minimize damage while we’re on our way.
Step 2: We arrive and assess. We’ll diagnose the problem, stop the immediate damage, and give you a price for the repair. Emergency diagnosis is fast — we focus on stopping the problem first.
Step 3: We fix it. Most emergency repairs are completed same-visit. If the repair requires parts or a follow-up, we’ll make sure the situation is stabilized before we leave.
After hours? Leave a voicemail and we’ll return your call first thing the next business morning. For immediate danger (gas leak, sewage flooding), call 911 or your gas company first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are you available 24/7?
No — we’re honest about this. Our hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During those hours, we prioritize emergency calls. After hours, leave a voicemail and we’ll call you back first thing next morning.
What should I do while waiting for the plumber?
Shut off the main water valve if there’s an active leak or burst pipe. The valve is usually near where the water line enters your house (often in the basement). This stops water flow and minimizes damage. If you’re not sure where the valve is, we can walk you through finding it over the phone.
Do emergency repairs cost more?
We don’t charge an emergency premium. You get the same upfront pricing as any other service call. The repair costs what it costs based on the work involved, not the urgency.
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Anything that’s actively causing damage or making your home unsafe — burst pipes, sewer backups, no water, flooding, or gas smells near plumbing equipment. A slow drain or dripping faucet is annoying but not an emergency — we’ll still fix it, just on a normal schedule.
